The Goddess Has Got Some Toilet Scrubbing To Do
Wednesday, March 3, 2010

Sorry. As much as I want to be here today with you, Internet, I cannot.

My brother and his darling family are coming to town.

And since we don't get to see them half as much as we'd like to. And since my entire closet is sprawled across my dining room. (That post is COMING.) And since the puppies have decided that licking all the sliding glass doors in my house creating a smeary, disgusting film on my clean glass is about as fun as it gets. And since they still prefer a nice clean carpet over anywhere in the outdoors for their toilet. And since the laundry is higher than my head. And since the car needs to be washed to get rid of the smell of dog and the fungus that I'm sure has taken up residence between my seats. And since there are far too many toilets in this house to clean. And since the cupboards are bare. And since my sister-in-law is a personal trainer who is the size of a toothpick. And since I NOW have to spend my day doing squats and sit-ups and pushups in between toilet scrubbings.

And since I've got to pluck and shave and moisturize and find my inner Goddess, I won't be able to post today.

I'll be back in a few. Look for me. I'll be thinking of you while I'm gone.

Good luck with getting the spit off the windows, and keeping it off for more than 5 minutes.

Have fun with the fam!

Will you be wearing that while you clean or this that only a work-out outfit?

I hear you, sister. Blast your favorite tunes and have at it! We are not going anywhere. xxoo

I used to work myself into a tizzy when we had company, but nobody ever noticed and then they trashed the house anyway so now I just give it a spit and a polish and clean when everyone leaves!

Except the toilets, I do clean them - although, if I didn't clean them - maybe nobody would come over!

My sister has a guest house so all relatives who come to town are directed to HER house, leaving me in messy peace.

I miss having puppies to lick windows. Sigh.

Have fun cleaning, sit-upping, and whatnot.

Also, each glass of wine makes your house look just a little cleaner.

Joann! Silly Rabbit! Your brother isn't coming to see your house. He's coming to spend time with you! If he wanted to see the house and spend time with IT, he would ask when you were going to be on vacation and THEN come to your house. But he isn't so it's all about you.

Have fun. That's an order.

Come on, do they really think you're supposed to clean and pluck every day?

Gawd, I so hate having folk to stay, they disturb the dust! Good luck (and thanks for making me smile).
